Wilmington Man Linked To Johnston County Theft

CLEVELAND – A Wilmington, NC man was arrested by Johnston County authorities on theft charges. Gregory Brian Craft, age 43, was taken into custody May 10 after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 3700 block of NC 42 West of Clayton.

Craft was identified and linked to the theft of a 24 foot enclosed trailer, valued at $12,000, that was stolen from a jobsite between May 5 – 8 on Cleveland Crossing Drive, off NC 42 West. The trailer contained $7,000 in building materials and $2,000 in tools.

The stolen trailer was recovered in Pender County. At last report, the building materials and tools had not been located.

Craft was wanted at the time of his May 10 arrest on felony warrants in New Hanover County for larceny and obtaining property by false pretense.

Johnston County deputies charged Craft with felony larceny. He was held under a combined $160,000 secured bond on all the warrants.

  1. Hey Brian Craft, try working for a living instead stealing from other people that worked hard for what they got. Have a good time in jail you looser!

  2. The problem with trash like this person, in today’s society our justice system is a failure. Someone with his track record needs his dominant hand cut off!!!! Stiffen the penalties for these repeat offenders. It’s bad enough our tax paying dollar’s have to pay to keep there sorry butt’s housed and feed while incarcerated!
