Wilson’s Mills Names New Town Administrator, Finance Officer

A familiar face at the Wilson’s Mills Town Hall has been named the new Town Administrator.

Leighanna T. Worley has been promoted from Town Clerk to Town Administrator replacing Alicia Gregory who accepted a job in January as the new clerk in the Town of Lillington in Harnett County. Gregory had been with the Town of Wilson’s Mills since October 2016.

After searching for a replacement for Gregory for about a month, the Wilson’s Mills Town Board asked Worley to take over as Administrator.

Worley started with the Town in April of 2006.  She received her Certified Municipal Clerk designation in August of 2011, her NC Certification (NCCMC) in July 2012, and obtained her Master Municipal Clerk designation (MMC) in March of 2016.  Leighanna had been the Interim Town Administrator since Gregory’s departure.  She will also maintain her duties as Human Resources Director.

Eatman started with the Town in August of 2013 as Administrative Assistant / Finance Clerk. She was appointed as Deputy Clerk in July 2015, and promoted to Assistant Finance Officer in July of 2016. She received her designation as a Certified Local Government Finance Officer (CLGFO) in January 2018.

The Council has asked Worley to begin searching for a full-time Planner for the Town of Wilson’s Mills.
