Wilson’s Mills Police have identified a pedestrian struck and killed on Highway 70. Juana Marie Harmon, 27, was fatally struck around 11:00pm Friday by a Ford pickup truck in the eastbound lanes of Highway 70 near Wilson’s Mills Road and the Handy Mart convenience store.
Harmon had previous addressed in Salisbury, Winston Salem and Raleigh and had family living in the Charlotte area. Police Chief A.Z. Williams said officers don’t know why Harmon was in Johnston County and she has no known connections to the area.

Chief Williams said no charges will be filed against the driver of the pickup.
