A Wake County woman was arrested at the Wal-Mart pharmacy in the Cleveland community Friday afternoon. Deputies responded to the business after the woman, identified as 38 year-old Lindsay Raye Hocutt of Raleigh allegedly tried to pass a forged prescription for a narcotic painkiller.
The pharmacist reportedly called the doctor listed on the prescription and determined Hocutt was not a patient and the prescription had been forged.
Hocutt was still on the scene when Johnston County deputies arrived. She was charged with attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or forgery. She was booked into the Johnston County Jail under a $25,000 bond.
