Woman Assaulted While Walking On Clayton Greenway

CLAYTON – Clayton Police are investigating an incident on the greenway walking trail. Around 11:39am Tuesday, a female reported to Clayton Police that she was assaulted by an unknown male while walking on the greenway, approximately one half mile west of the Sam’s Branch trail head.

The only description the victim was able to provide was that the suspect appeared to be a young black male, approximately 5’7 to 5’10 in height and weighing between 180-250 pounds. The subject reportedly had a short afro-style haircut. No clothing description or further identifying features could be provided. The suspect was last seen running on the greenway towards City Road.

    • Should try pepper spray first. If you pull a gun you better use it. Then you better have a really good lawyer if they are unarmed.

  1. Please ladies and men, boys and girls, the world has changed. Walk in pairs or more, even though we should not have to. Look around and know your surroundings at all times.

  2. Especially women nowadays, should purchase a weapon, get trained on how to use it for self defense and make it a bad day for the attacker…
