A Johnston County woman was arrested after arriving at the Johnston County Courthouse with drugs and drug paraphernalia in her possession.
On Tuesday, deputies said 22 year-old Eleanor Jane Alley of Buffalo Acres Lane, Clayton attempted to enter the Johnston County Courthouse through the Second Street entrance. A deputy working a metal detector at the entrance noticed a hypodermic needle protruding from the woman’s bra.
Alley was detained and later searched by a female officer. During the search, three additional hypodermic needles were found in her jacket pocket. Prescription pills were also found in a zip lock bag in her pocket. A small quantity of marijuana was reportedly found in another zip lock bag concealed in her bra.
Alley was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
