A Micro woman was arrested Oct. 25th for filing a false police report. On Oct. 21st, Amanda Hinson Creech, 31, of E. Goldsboro Street, reported that while she was driving a 
friend’s Chevrolet truck on Hinnant-Edgerton Road she was carjacked and the vehicle stolen.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined the truck had previously been involved in a traffic accident and the carjacking never occurred.
Creech was charged with filing a false report to a police station. She was released on a $500 bond on the misdemeanor charge.
