CLINTON – The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman found inside a home Tuesday morning. Around 7:30am, deputies responded to 815 Isaac Weeks Road for a disturbance, which was called in by a third party.
Upon arrival, no one would come to the door or respond to the deputies’ commands. Entry was made into the residence. Upon entering a female was located inside who had succumb to unknown injuries.
A male occupant, who was also inside the residence, was taken into custody for questioning. No additional information has been released. Authorities said this remains an active investigation.
