UPDATE 6:45PM – Clayton Police report this is a domestic homicide and the victim knew the suspect. Detectives have identified the suspect and are working to locate and make an arrest. The name of the victim and suspect have not been released.
CLAYTON – Clayton Police are investigating the death of a 54-year-old woman found dead in her apartment this afternoon (Wednesday).
The crime scene is an apartment in the 600 block of N. O’Neil Street near Downtown Clayton.
A police spokesperson said it is an active homicide investigation and no other details are being released at this time.
