A 24 year-old woman was killed and three others injured Friday morning on Emmaus Church Road near Dudley in Wayne County.
The two vehicle accident was reported just before 6:00am.
24 year-old Mayra Labra of Dudley crossed the center line into the path of another car carrying a family of three. Labra died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, Michelle Brown, was a mother with her husband and six year old child in the car. Brown sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to Vidant in Greenville. Her husband and child were treated and released from Wayne UNC Hospital in Goldsboro.
Troopers don’t know what caused Labra to cross the centerline. Emmaus Church Road was closed until 9:00am before reopened to traffic.
