Woman Says She Was Robbed While Smoking Marijuana

CLAYTON – Officers have obtained warrants against a suspect wanted for the robbery of a Clayton woman.  The victim reported to Johnston County deputies she was sitting in a car smoking marijuana when she was robbed.

Deputies said the incident happened around 4:15am Sunday off Highway 42 East of Clayton.  The 20 year-old victim allegedly claimed she was sitting in a car smoking marijuana when an acquaintance approached and demanded money.

When the victim said she didn’t have any money, the suspect pulled out a black pistol and robbed the woman of $90 in cash.   No injuries were reported.

Authorities did not release the name of the suspect facing charges pending their arrest.
