Woman Threatens Cable Repairman With Gun

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report where a cable repairman said he was held at gunpoint and threatened.  It happened Thursday afternoon off Brogden Road in the Brogden community east of Smithfield.

A repairman for Spectrum cable said he was servicing a cable box beside the street when a woman allegedly walked up to him, pointing a pistol at him, cocked the weapon, then stated, “You have 5 minutes to get the f**k out of here.”

The woman then walked away, got into a vehicle parked in a nearby driveway and left.

Deputies responded to the scene but were unable to locate the suspect or her vehicle.

The cable repairman was not injured.  The incident still remains under investigation.
