Wayne County authorities have released the name of a woman killed in a shooting.
Deputies responded to a shots fired call Wednesday in the 3400 block of Arrington Bridge Road in the Dudley community. When they arrived they found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where she later died.
The victim has now been identified as 30 year-old Georgina Fajardo.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says it appears there was an altercation at home that led to an exchange of gunfire and Fajardo’s death. No arrests have been made.
