Midlothian, VA – Community Bankers’ Bank has announced Earl W. Worley, Jr, Executive Vice President & COO of KS Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary KS Bank, Inc. in Smithfield, was elected a Class III Director of CBB Financial Corp., Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary Community Bankers’ Bank(“CBB”).
Worley joined KS Bank in 1992 as Vice President, Selma Branch Manager and Loan Officer. In 1999, Mr. Worley was promoted to Senior Vice President & CFO where he managed all aspects of financial accounting, deposit & loan operations, IT, compliance & internal auditing, strategic planning. Mr. Worley’s talent and experience quickly elevated him to his current position in 2010. In addition to his previous responsibilities, Mr. Worley directs the operations of KS Bank’s nine retail branches, co-manages the investment portfolio, and is a member of the executive leadership team deciding on strategies for capital, earnings, liquidity and risk management.
Worley serves on the Boards of KS Bancorp and KS Bank. He is a graduate of the University of Mount Olive, NC, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting. Mr. Worley is also a graduate of the School of Banking at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Mr. Worley is an active member of his community. Among many notable affiliations and charges, Mr. Worley serves on the Board of Trustees and Chairs the Finance Committee at the University of Mount Olive, and is a Director and Past Chairman of the Greater Smithfield/Selma Chamber of Commerce.
