SMITHFIELD – Smithfield Police are investigating the theft of a $10,000 necklace from a business. It happened on April 19th at 5:09pm.
Police said an unknown male entered Lee Jewelry & Cell Phone at 1025 Outlet Center Drive. The suspect asked to see a necklace. Once he was handed the necklace, he fled out the front door to an awaiting car.
Police are still trying to identify the suspect.
Why would somebody just be handed a $10,000 necklace? With all the shenanigans going on around that area especially!!! It’s getting bad around here people, hang on to what you got, seriously.
Didn’t this happen at least once last year at the other jewelry store at Carolina Outlets? Maybe same people?
They will get the TRASH. I hate people that take from hard working people.
You know it’s a quality jewelry store when they also sell cell phones.
