G-Force Robotics, an all-girl, FIRST Robotics Competition team from Clayton, N.C.was named a 2023 FIRST Robotics Rookie All Star winner at the world championship in Houston, Texas, April 19-22, 2023.
The community-based team of 11 girls from various schools competed with more than 600 teams from around the world during the four-day competition.
This year the event had record-breaking attendance with 18,000 students competing from 59 countries and nearly 50,000 people in attendance.
The rookie all star award recognizes a young team’s accomplishments to furthering science, technology, engineering and math in their community.
