BUIES CREEK – Campbell University Director of Athletics, Hannah Bazemore, proudly announced a remarkable $100,000 gift to the Fighting Camels wrestling program today (Thursday). This generous anonymous donation marks the largest single gift in the history of Campbell Wrestling, reflecting the continued support for the team’s future success.
“We have never stopped working for our student-athletes and all 21 of our sports,” said Bazemore. “This historic gift to our wrestling program shows our efforts are igniting our Campbell family to Fight As One. We are hopeful that the generosity of this gift will inspire others to step up with financial support.”
Since stepping into her role in November 2022, Bazemore has led Campbell Athletics to new heights, raising over $13 million to support and enhance athletic programs. Her leadership has been transformative, with a strategic focus on expanding the athletics advancement team and restructuring the department’s fundraising efforts.
Under Bazemore’s guidance, the Fighting Camel Club has also been revitalized to better serve student-athlete scholarship support for all 21 Campbell sports. She also introduced the Orange Tie Gala, an annual fundraising event in downtown Raleigh that brings together the university’s top supporters, coaches, and administration to celebrate and support Campbell Athletics. This year’s Orange Tie Gala will take place on Friday, November 22.
This Wednesday, November 13, is Campbell Giving Day, the university’s annual day of giving, a day to join the team behind our teams by making a gift to Campbell Athletics.
