The Selma 150th Anniversary Committee will be hosting a Black History Program on Sunday, February 5th at 3:00pm at the Historic First Missionary Baptist Church in Selma.
The Program will feature songs, reading and a keynote address by Crystal Kimpson Roberts. Ms. Roberts is a former President of the Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce and a public relations executive. She is also a former candidate for the Johnston County Board of Education. Her address will focus on our youth.
The chairpersons for the event are writer and historian Eric Jackson and Selma Mayor Pro-Tem Jackie Lacy.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
