CLAYTON – The Johnston County Public Utilities Department says 1,600 gallons of untreated wastewater spilled from a force main today (Thursday) at the Winston Road crossing in the Neuse River Basin. The wastewater discharged into the White Oak Creek.
Officials said a private contractor damaged a force main owned and operated by Johnston County causing the spill.
