The Clayton Town Council has approved a request for a new subdivision. The 17 lot subdivision will be located on 11.9 acres of land just south of the US 70 Bypass and just north of the intersection of Cooper Branch Road and Wildberry Court.
Cooper Branch LLC and Vast Real Estate & Development received waivers from town requirements to build sidewalks and curb and gutters along the streets because the roads would ultimately be dedicated to the NC Department of Transportation. The Town of Clayton does not generally maintain sidewalks outside of the Town limits. The new subdivision is in the Clayton extraterritorial jurisdiction or ETJ.
