BENSON – A South Carolina teen was reportedly caught with a pickup reported stolen in Durham, NC. On Monday, January 1 around 2:58pm, Johnston County deputies received a tip a stolen white Dodge Ram was in the vicinity of Food Lion on Highway 210 near Interstate 40.
Deputies spotted the truck leaving the parking lot and followed as it turned into the Daniel Farms subdivision. The driver backed the truck into a driveway. Officers blocked the vehicle from leaving the driveway and detained the driver.
Deonte Elton David Hinson, age 19, of Monks Corner, South Carolina was charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was held on a $10,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.
He better be glad it’s not the 1800s..Steal a vehicle is like stealing a horse. And we know what happened…
