Two people were killed and three others were injured in a tragic house fire Sunday morning outside of Kenly.
The blaze was reported around 10:30am in the 1500 block of Beulahtown Road. The victims were identified as a father and his young child.
Three others were rushed to the hospital for treatment of injuries including smoke inhalation.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The names of those involved was not immediately released.
The last fatal house fire in Johnston County was near Archer Lodge last December.
