Two Year-Old Shot In The Head

Police are investigating an apparent accidental shooting that left a two year-old girl hospitalized in serious but stable condition.  It happened around 11:00am today (Friday) on Smart Court off North O’Neil Street in the Clayton city limits.

A 2 year-old girl was reportedly shot in head by a sibling. She was rushed by ambulance to WakeMed.

Police said the weapon used was a semi-automatic handgun.   Police did not release the age of the sibling.

Clayton Police plan to release more details when possible.
