SMITHFIELD – County Manager Rick Hester announced this afternoon a total of 23 COVID-19 cases in Johnston County. That number is up from 22 cases on Wednesday night.
As of 2:00pm Thursday, there are 1,857 total cases across North Carolina and 16 deaths. 184 patients remain hospitalized. The coronavirus has now spread to 83 of the state’s 100 counties.
The NC Department of Health & Human Services said 28,679 COVID-19 tests had been completed.
