A Johnston County man says someone broke into his home this week stealing $30,000 from his home safe.
The theft occurred on Wednesday between 9:00am and 8:00pm while the victim was away from his home, located off Buffalo Road south of Highway 42.
The victim told deputies he does not lock the door to his home. While he was away someone entered the residence and stole 300 $100 bills from a small safe concealed in his residence.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft. No arrests have been made.
