$32,000 Awarded For Brookwood Drive Drainage Repairs

SMITHFIELD – The Smithfield town council has approved a $32,000 expenditure to make repairs on Brookwood Drive at Afton Lane, in the Eden Woods community.

A drainage problem at the intersection is causing water runoff to flow down Afton Lane into the property at 51 Brookwood Drive.

A paving company is completing a repaving project in the area that can complete the work, Town manager Mike Scott told members of the Smithfield town council.

Mr Scott said repairing the street and drainage at the same time would be beneficial. Powell Bill funds will be used to pay for the repairs.
