4 Injured, 2 Seriously In T-Bone Collision

FOUR OAKS – The intersection of Elevation Road and Raleigh Road was the scene of a serious two vehicle collision Sunday morning. Four people were transported to WakeMed for treatment of their injuries.

About 9:30 am, a three-wheeled Polaris “Slingshot” driver riding with his son collided with a van at the intersection. The cyclist was pinned in his bike with a serious leg injury, according to witnesses. The van driver was knocked unconscious. Two others were also injured.

Elevation Fire and Johnston County EMS responded, with NC State Highway Patrol, to accident.

  1. I notice you say cyclist. Did they have on helmets like the law states?

    Anything less than 4 wheels you need a helmet with on the road. If it’s legal. Which slingshots are not cars..
