Five people were displaced from their home following a stubborn mobile home fire.
Flames damaged the doublewide mobile home in the 6000 block of Applewhite Road in northern Johnston CountyFriday evening. Three local fire departments responded and put out the blaze.
The fire rekindled Sunday morning prompting fire crews to return and pour more water on the home.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
The Red Cross is assisting the victims. No injuries were reported. Photos by John Payne
