A reward is being offered for information in a homicide investigation.
On Friday, Clayton Police announced they are offering a $5,000 reward for information that will help detectives arrest the persons responsible for last Saturday’s fatal shooting of 25 year-old Garrett Howard Bridges.
Bridges, who was released from prison 3 months earlier, was gunned down inside his home on Herndon Court in the Mitchiner Hills community.
Police announced for the first time on Friday they believe two suspects entered his home and they believe Bridges knew the suspects. However, police do not have any more information they are releasing about the murder suspects or what led up to the shooting, which was the first homicide in the Clayton city limits since 2014.
The NC SBI is assisting Clayton Police with the investigation and search for Bridges killers.
Anyone who has information that can help detectives is asked to contact Clayton CrimeStoppers at 919-359-TIPZ (8479), including anyone who saw any activity in the Herndon Drive area last Saturday morning. You can remain anonymous – calls are not traced – and you could be eligible for a $5,000 reward. Photos by John Payne
