The Town of Smithfield will hold the Grand Opening of the 5th Street Community Garden this Saturday, June 1st at 10am. The garden is located on South 5th Street between Church and Woodall Street.
The 5th Street Community Garden is a 100 percent volunteer garden giving citizens the access to grow, and learn to grow, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, squash, and fresh herbs are just some of the offerings at the garden.
Gardening classes for those interested in learning more about gardening and growing their own garden are coming soon.
