An accident Sunday afternoon injured six people.
A white SUV towing a trailer with two junked cars and a black pickup truck collided in the intersection of Highway 42 and Highway 39 north of Selma. After the initial impact, one of the junked cars then struck a westbound car on Highway 42.
Four of the six people who were injured were transported to the hospital for treatment. The intersection, which is a 4-way stop, was shut down for more than an hour until the injured were treated and the wreckage was cleared from the scene.
The Antioch Fire Department, Johnston County EMS, and NC Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Photos by JoCoFire.com
