A Johnston County family lost their home in an early morning house fire. The fire was reported at 7:00am Sunday at 114 Langston Ridge Drive in the Langston Ridge Subdivision off Old Fairground Road in western Johnston County.
Crews from the West Johnston, Elevation and 50-210 Fire Departments arrived on the scene and found flames coming from the garage and other parts of the home. All six people made it out unharmed.
It took firefighters just under an hour to bring the blaze under control. The home was a total loss.
Johnston County Emergency Services Fire investigators determined the fire started in the garage area but because of the extensive damage were unable to pinpoint the cause.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
