ARCHER LODGE – Six people were injured Saturday afternoon in a three car accident in Archer Lodge.
A Nissan SUV and Volvo passenger car collided on Buffalo Road. A Toyota SUV swerved to avoid striking the two vehicles and ran off the roadway colliding with the guy wires to a utility pole.
The pole sustained minor damage but it did knock out power to local residents.
Buffalo Road was completely closed for nearly two hours while the State Highway Patrol investigated the accident and the wrecked cars were towed away.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the accident or the severity of the injuries.
The Archer Lodge Fire Department and numerous Johnston County EMS units responded to the crash. A Duke Energy crew restored power service.
