The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of car break-ins. Four victims reported their cars were entered Monday night or Tuesday morning at their homes on Keen Road outside of Four Oaks. All the vehicles had been left unlocked. Property was taken from two of the four vehicles.
In northern Johnston County, three vehicles were burglarized on Mudham Road and Earpsboro Road early Tuesday morning. Electronics and money were among the items stolen. Those vehicles had also been left unsecured.
Investigators say it is important to keep your car doors locked and valuables out of sight, even in the driveway of your own home.
