Thieves made away with a large amount of cash and jewelry from a North Smithfield home on Wednesday.
A resident on Camelia Drive, off Booker Dairy Road reported the she left home around 8:15am. When she returned about 5:10pm she discovered $7,000 in cash and $1,000 in jewelry were missing.
Smithfield Police said the door to the home had been left unlocked.
No arrests have been made in the burglary.
