The Johnston County 911 Communications Center in Smithfield scored a perfect 10 during a recent inspection by the North Carolina Department of Insurance Office of State Fire Marshal.
The Johnston County 911 Center is one of the very few centers in North Carolina to achieve a perfect ‘10’, the highest achievable score for a 911 Center.
“We are thankful that the Johnston County Commissioners have made public safety a priority and allowed us to design a system like this for our citizens”, stated Johnston County 911 Communications Director Jason Barbour.
The inspection is conducted as part of the rating cycle in which the County and Fire Departments must participate.
The rating the 911 Communication Center receives directly impacts the premiums insurance companies charge Johnston County homeowners and businesses for coverage.
