Adam Carroll has been hired as the Public Information Director for Johnston County Government. Carroll, a graduate of North Carolina State University, comes to Johnston County following four years with the Town of Garner where he served as a communications specialist.
There he won multiple statewide communication awards for his work in videography, promotions, public relations and live streaming. Prior to his time in Garner, Carroll worked as a producer for PEG Media Partners and spent five years as a broadcast technician with WRAL-TV.
Communication initiatives already underway include improving Johnston County Commissioners meeting live stream broadcasts, increasing social media presence, developing a comprehensive communication plan alongside the county manager and adding video production as a tool for resident outreach.
“I’m happy to be back home working in a county that I grew up in and am looking forward to this exciting opportunity,” Mr. Carroll said.
