Amazon Van Overturns In Collision On NC 96

JOHNSTON COUNTY — A Wednesday afternoon crash sent two people to the hospital after an SUV and one of Amazon’s new all-electric delivery vans collided at the intersection of NC Highway 96 and Antioch Church Road.
The accident occurred around 2:00 p.m. when an SUV carrying a parent and two children collided with the delivery van at the northern Johnston County intersection. The impact caused the Amazon vehicle to overturn onto its side. The van’s driver was not injured.

The SUV’s driver and one child suffered injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The second child was not reported injured.
Amazon dispatched a rental vehicle to the scene to collect the undelivered packages and continue the delivery route.

The crash partially blocked the intersection, but Antioch firefighters worked to keep traffic moving until the scene was cleared. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the incident and cited the Amazon driver.

Yes , we had them coming to our home . They were told not to back out of the driveway because it is a little dangerous meaning traffic. They still did it. There was another way for them to get to our home without driveway access, which was mush saver. They didn’t listen. Then they backed out one day and backed over our mailbox. Never stopped. Seen them do it. Then about a week later they backed out of someone’s driveway the same way a few miles away from ours and caused an accident and caused a death of someone. So sad.
Good ole mush saver.
lol
If they listened in Orientation they would have never pulled in a driveway period ,the side of the road is the safest place
they are ridiculous driving those trucks most of them run stop signs as said before dont pay attention whn backing those things up they whip them around the theyre hot wheel trucks its crazy!
And here comes another time and resource wasting 4-way stop because drivers just can’t yield to moving traffic, so everyone has to stop. And it isn’t just Amazon.
Make your own stop sticks …. just a thought
