Two Johnston County animal hospitals were broken into minutes apart this morning (Thursday) and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office says they are connected.
Around 12:41am, an alarm activated at Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital at 6129 Highway 42 West, Garner. Deputies arrived quickly and found a landscaping rock had been used to toss through the glass storefront to gain entry. No items were taken but damage was estimated at $1,000.
At 1:15am, deputies responded to an alarm at Cleveland School Animal Hospital at 79 Oxholm Circle, Garner. Officers said the front glass door had been shattered and an undisclosed amount of money had been taken.
Security video showed a heavily-disguised suspect wearing a mask, light-colored hoodie, blue jeans and black gloves.
