Argument Over Pizza Leads To Assault

SMITHFIELD – A convenience store clerk was reportedly assaulted by a customer. Authorities said a customer was inside the Speedway at 2103 S. Brightleaf Boulevard on Feb. 29 when they allegedly began arguing with the clerk over a pizza.

During the argument the clerk was allegedly assaulted.

The suspect left the store before police arrived. A misdemeanor warrant was obtained.
