No injuries were reported Monday night after a gunman robbed a local auto parts business. It happened at 8:28pm at Advance Auto Parts at 5992 Highway 42 West near the I-40 interchange outside of Clayton.
Johnston County Sheriff’s Detective Lt. Mike Carson said a lone male wearing a mask entered the business and at gunpoint demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was described as a black male, 6 foot tall, with a skinny build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves and black pants. The gunman fled on foot. There were no injuries.
