MICRO – A suspect in the armed robbery of a Micro convenience store was captured Monday afternoon. Just after 1:00pm, the gunman reportedly robbed the Micro Mini Mart at the intersection of Highway 301 and Main Street.
Micro Police arrived and chased the suspect on foot. With the assistance of Selma Police and Johnston County sheriff’s deputies, the suspect was captured near the intersection of W. Main Street and Pittman Lane.
A handgun and undisclosed amount of money was located nearby.
Micro Police have not released the name of the suspect. Additional details will be released once the investigation has been completed.
The store was closed while officers completed their work.
