Arrest Made Following Car Break-In Report In Micro

MICRO, N.C. — A Four Oaks man was arrested after Johnston County sheriff’s deputies investigated a reported vehicle break-in in the Town of Micro.

The incident was reported around 12:03 p.m. on May 17 on Second Street.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, a Selma woman told deputies someone had entered her vehicle and stolen a pair of sunglasses valued at approximately $50.

Authorities charged 24-year-old Jose Julian Bautista-Martinez of Spring Lake Road, Four Oaks with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle with theft.

Deputies said Bautista-Martinez is the ex-boyfriend of the victim. The stolen sunglasses were later recovered, according to the report.

Bautista-Martinez was given a $20,000 secured bond.
