Narcotics officers arrested a Benson woman Wednesday afternoon following a six month undercover drug investigation.
Maria Pitcher, 33, of the 600 block of Morgan Road, had allegedly been selling prescription pills to agents with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Narcotics Division. Tammy Amaon, spokesperson for the JCSO, said the investigation was started in October 2015.
Pitcher was charged with 12 felony counts of trafficking in opium or heroin. She was incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail under a $300,000 bond.
