Arrest Made In Armed Robbery Of 78-Year-Old Princeton Man
PRINCETON, N.C. — The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in the armed robbery of a 78-year-old Princeton-area man who was confronted at gunpoint inside his home in June.
On Aug. 9, deputies arrested Jimmie Spencer Kincaid, 23, of the 5800 block of Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, on warrants charging him with robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary and felony conspiracy.
Kincaid was also charged with a felony probation violation related to a 2025 felony drug conviction following an arrest by Selma police.
The charges stem from an armed robbery reported around 2:25 p.m. June 27 at a residence on Edwards Road near Princeton.
According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, the 78-year-old homeowner, who has mobility issues, was sitting inside his residence when an unknown man reportedly walked through an unlocked door and confronted him.
The victim told deputies the intruder pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money.
The suspect allegedly took the victim’s wallet, an undisclosed amount of cash and two credit cards before fleeing.
The homeowner was not physically injured.
Kincaid was held without bond.

Held without bond ~ as he should be!! ~ BUT, a female person KILLS someone and gets a $2,500.00 bond???? There are some Magistrates and Judges that need FIRING! Vote them out now and fire them!! Absolutely Ridiculous!!!!!
I agree with you – some of these bond amounts are just ridiculous.
I believe one crime is Death by Motor Vehicle (misdemeanor or felony, depending on proof of driving under the influence) while the other is armed robbery, which is a Class D felony. No probation and mandatory prison time.
I’m guessing because they haven’t proven yet that the woman driver was actually driving under the influence at the time of the incident, they can’t charge her immediately with a felony. Unsure of that, but its the only logical reason to have such a low bail for that crime.
The woman driver apparently had a blood alcohol level greater than the legal limit. But some attorney is going to try and find any and all reasons to cast doubt on whether the test was legitimate, whether the driver drank once she got home to calm her nerves, etc. She will likely get away with a misdemeanor and points on her license.
Eastern JoCo has a very serious crime problem….usually associated with meth. I’m at the point of begging for increased police and ATF support here. I was being robbed…called 911 when the thieves were driving up. …they had a 6 by 12 trailer nearly fully loaded before any law enforcement arrived. The thieves were picking thru what they wanted , taking their time. I called the laws direct line till he told me to quit calling. Something is wrong with that on a 330 am Tuesday morning call.
That’s true she could have been drinking at home after the accident
I have seen this kids mugshot more then once in the last few years from Joco and Harnett co. Send him to prison until he’s 30.
