ATV Thefts Under Investigation
JOHNSTON COUNTY — Authorities are investigating two cases involving the thefts of ATV’s.
On Nov. 12, an employee at the Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site on Harper House Road south of Four Oaks told deputies that a John Deere ATV had been taken from the property. The vehicle was valued at about $5,000.
The next day, deputies responded to a second theft on Buckleberry Road in Princeton, where four ATVs were reported stolen along with a chainsaw and a trolling motor. The missing items were valued at a combined $31,500.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating both thefts. Officials have not determined whether the two cases are connected.
