One of two suspects wanted for last Thursday’s armed robbery of First Citizens Bank in Buies Creek has been arrested.
Dequan J. Alston, 22, of Charleston, SC and Christay C. Johnson, 23, with addresses in Charleston, SC and Lillington, NC were identified by the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office as the two suspects involved in the robbery and issued warrants for their arrests.
On Tuesday, Alston turned himself in at the North Charleston Police Department and was served with outstanding warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and felony conspiracy. He was also wanted at the time for charges in South Carolina for burglary, forgery, and for failing to appear in court.
The search is still ongoing for Johnson. She is believed to be driving a silver 4 door Hyundai Accent with SC license plate 1335JD.
