Battery Theft Leaves Selma Man Charged

SELMA, N.C. – A Selma-area man has been charged with misdemeanor larceny after two car batteries were reported stolen from an 80-year-old resident.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Ray Flowers of Micro Road West on Sept. 9.

The investigation began Aug. 31 when the victim reported two car batteries had been stolen from his home on Jordan-Narron Road.

Flowers was later identified as a suspect in the theft and charged with misdemeanor larceny. He was given a $1,000 bond.
