BBB Announces 2023 Businesses With Most Unanswered Complaints

RALEIGH – Better Business Bureau serving Eastern Carolinas (BBB) has named the top ten businesses in their North Carolina service area with the most unanswered complaints in 2023. BBB closed 13,125 consumer complaints against businesses throughout the 48-county service area last year. 

A businesses BBB rating is based on several factors, including the number of complaints filed, the size of the business, and whether the business appropriately responded to the complaints. 

The top 10 businesses with the most unanswered complaints in our North Carolina service area in 2023: 

Epic Games. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., this is an interactive entertainment company and provider of 3D engine technology. Epic provides an end-to-end digital ecosystem for developers and creators to build, distribute, and operate games and other content. It currently has an “F” rating with BBB and 177 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.

Tiara Beauty Co. This jewelry business is based in Durham, N.C., It has an “F” rating on BBB.org and had 36 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.

Adam and Eve. This company, headquartered in Hillsborough, N.C., is a mail-order distributor of adult products and sex education resources. It has a “D-” rating with BBB and had 23 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.

Premium Velocity Auto LLC DBA Jiffy Lube. This franchisee, which is based out of Raleigh, N.C., operates about 350 automotive service centers in 21 states. It has had 19 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023 and has a “D-” rating on BBB.org.

Excess Telecom, Inc. With headquarters in Raleigh, this telecommunications and technology company has an “F” rating with BBB and had 13 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.

Unlimited Recovery, LLC. This Raleigh, N.C., towing company has an “F” rating with BBB and had 13 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.

Dream Finders Homes, LLC. This home building company has headquarters in Hampstead, N.C. It has an “F” rating with BBB and 13 unanswered complaints were filed against it in 2023.

Cushman & Wakefield. Headquartered in Morrisville, N.C., this commercial real estate and property management company has an “F” rating with BBB. It had 13 unanswered complaints filed against the company in 2023.

ReverbNation. With headquarters in Morrisville, N.C., this online music marketing platform has an “F” rating with BBB. It had 13 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.

Limited Run Games, Inc. Based in Cary, N.C., Limited Run Games, Inc is a video game and video-game accessory seller. It has an “F” rating with BBB and had 11 unanswered complaints filed against it in 2023.
