The Town of Benson is listening to residents who have expressed their concerns over the conditions of streets and highways.
Town officials have released a timetable for upcoming roadway projects, both within the city’s jurisdiction and the state’s.
According to information from town officials, work will begin this fall on several streets throughout the town.
Plans call for resurfacing of the 700 block of West Church Street, the 600 block of South Ryals and the 400 and 500 blocks of North Lee Street. In addition, the town will resurface the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Pine and the 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 blocks of East Holmes Street.
The project is slated to begin early in October with completion expected by November 30th.
The town also announced the N.C. Department of Transportation has made them aware of plans to resurface Main Street in 2019. Anyone with questions, comments or concerns are asked to contact the town at 919-894-3553.
